Back to the Books

Spring break went way too fast, but I am sure everyone else feels that way as well. Thankfully, some of my professors are out of town for this week so I can ease myself back into school work without having to just throw myself into it. For digital media this week, I need to watch tutorials and do the examples within the videos on my own. I am finding Adobe Illustrator to be a lot harder than Adobe Photoshop. Especially after not working with it for a couple weeks, it is hard to get back into the groove.

I am even more nervous to be back from spring break because of the other project we need to work on for digital media. We do not need to start on it right away, but we are expected to start a poster like image for a cartoon created by us. I am unsure what I will do yet, but it will probably involve a turtle since I love them. I was thinking of maybe doing a turtle who has the side kick of a manatee or maybe even a crab, but I will see how far I get with making these characters on Adobe Illustrator. I feel like no matter how many tutorials or videos I watch for Illustrator, I still cannot truly get into how it works. It is challenging because I usually catch on to things quickly and can navigate them in no time. Photoshop felt much easier to get used to than Illustrator has. We shall see how my work evolves!
