First Time Using Artificial Intelligence

Trying Midjourney in class on Monday was absolutely awesome. I had heard of Discord before, but never Midjourney. At first, I did not truly understand what we were supposed to do, but once I got the hang of it, I could not stop. My boyfriend and I spent almost all Monday making all different kinds of generated images on Midjourney. We wound up using up the free trial and had to buy the yearly plan. It is so crazy how the world is coming to this kind of technology. It literally just takes what I ask of it and provides me with multiple options to choose from. For our project in class, I presented my final image which was a bulldog in a whole jedi get-up with a lightsaber and a robe and everything. It felt pretty simple compared to what some other classmates had, but I know it was creative which is all the professor wanted. So far, this is my favorite course out of this semester. It is also the course that gives me enough creativity leniency. We are set free to do creative things as long as it is in the lines of what he is asking of us. Now, I must master PhotoShop by Adobe and make my images into a scene. I decided I am going to make other jedi dogs to join the bulldog and place them in Tatooine. I am having a hard time so far with selecting and separating the dogs from the backgrounds of the original pictures. I have it all selected, but I cannot figure out how to actually make the background disappear. I am sure I will find videos and tutorials online to help me figure it out.

Digital media is the beginning of a new era for the world. Who knew things like artificial intelligence and virtual reality were being used as much as they are? I never would have thought I would be using artificial intelligence in a college course. Yes, this class is called digital media for a reason, but I thought it would be using super simple photo shop or just discussing the future that is technology. But, we are using hands-on tools to help make the future become a reality. My professor takes such an astonishing approach to revealing to my classmates and I the world of digital media still while keeping it simple and brief enough to explain it to all of us so that we truly understand and absorb it.
